Adolph Rupp
« on: March 04, 2010, 02:03:31 PM »
Legend has it that the folks in Eastern Kentucky knew that Adolph Rupp was the Lord and when they died they were going to Lexington.

That's a 'true blue' Kentucky basketball fan.  :check: :check: :check:

I'll take Lexington, NC where at least I can get some decent BBQ!

Does that mean that Porky Pig is my lord? hahaha

PLEASE ! Just decent BBQ. For really great BBQ you will have to come to Owensboro, Kentucky. 'Moonlite BBQ Inn'.

You can get most of their menu online. Try the BBQ Mutton, and the Burgoo. My favorites. The online address is:

If I lived closer, that would be my restaurant right there. I love big chopped BBQ sandwiches

Speedies bbq on Hwy 8 (Raleigh Rd) in Lexington NC has a HUGE sign up saying, "The best BBQ in the country."

No matter what, I don't suggest any out-of-towners tell them boys any different. They might put your head in a smoker until you change your mind  lol :hd:

If I lived closer, that would be my restaurant right there. I love a big shopped BBQ sandwitchs /w fries.
It's about a 2 hr drive from my house (134 miles). But for the present I'll just order on-line. With all the earthquakes I think I'll stay away from Western, Ky. (Owensboro is to close to the New Madrid Fault)

I think my fiance had lunch there this week.  He was working down there and said he had to try it out.   :tu:
